Our Yes the Bronx Financial Literacy Program will be designed to educate Bronx youth and indirectly their families on fundamental methods of saving and investing. Working with local banking institutions, news networks, and other community-based organizations, Yes will create a teaching seminar for understanding and using basic financial instruments.

Our program will include: Types of financial instruments are available and what their differences are; opening  savings accounts, and compounding returns. More sophisticated seminars will be added to help people understand the basics of money, banking, and investing.

The seminars would be designed as a series of powerpoint presentations that can be delivered in schools or after-school programs by teachers, elected officials, clergy, or counselors. The goal: teaching kids to take control of their future.
